Open Road Press announces the release of Wheels of Wisdom: Life Lessons for the Restless Spirit in audiobook format. First published in 2016, this 10th-anniversary audio edition of the original text is narrated by coauthors Tim and Debbie Bishop. Listen to the sample here.
Wheels of Wisdom pulls 52 “life lessons” from over 10,000 miles of bicycling throughout America. The Bishops share personal stories from the road. Written from a Christian perspective but aimed at a general audience, the paperback edition won four first-place book awards in genres such as Christian nonfiction, inspirational, and devotional.
The audiobook release comes with a pre-order period until November 16, 2026 and a discounted price of $11.99 on most audiobook retail sites. Thereafter, the retail price increases to $15.99. However, Open Road Press is now offering the audiobook at a direct-from-publisher price of $9.60 through December 1 when using the discount code WOW at checkout. Open Road Press audiobooks play through Book Funnel’s app or a web browser.
As part of the Wheels of Wisdom audiobook launch promotion, you can receive the same 40% discount on any format of the book using the WOW checkout code exclusively at the Open Road Press bookstore. You can find other Wheels of Wisdom audiobook purchase options here.
The Bishops were first-time newlyweds at age 52 when they embarked on several long-distance bicycle tours across the United States. Their travels and their experience as online “hope coaches” seeded several published books.
